The Ranch PA Addiction Treatment Center Welcomes Dr. Jonathan Beatty as Staff Psychiatrist

Pictured above is Jonathan Beatty, MD, new staff psychiatrist at The Ranch PA. The Ranch PA is an addiction recovery treatment facility in southcentral Pennsylvania  specializing in holistic, customized treatment plans for all types of addiction. Last week, we welcomed Dr. Jonathan Beatty to our team of experienced team addiction treatment and recovery staff. About Dr. Jonathan Beatty Dr. Beatty comes to The Ranch PA with extensive experience in the addiction treatment field.  Dr. Beatty is a board-certified psychiatrist and a Diplomate of both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He underwent intensive experiential training at Louisiana State University, and he completed his certification at Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He previously held a faculty position at Thomas Jefferson University and has worked in private practice.

Dr. Beatty has treated clients in inpatient and emergency settings, as well as worked to develop outpatient services for his clients with chronic pain. In addition to pain management and addiction treatment, Dr. Beatty also specializes in dual diagnosis. He works with clients to uncover any underlying mental health issues. After identifying these mental heath issues, he helps develop a customized treatment plan that addresses the addiction, mental health, and underlying causes. He believes these are key to achieving long-lasting sobriety. By understanding what has led to addiction and what can trigger it, Dr. Beatty’s clients are in the best position to make long-lasting life changes and maintain sobriety. A perfect fit for The Ranch PA’s all-natural approach to well-being, Dr. Beatty  has worked tirelessly to find alternatives to habit-forming medications and adopts a holistic approach to client care. “I connect with the client at whatever level I can and find common ground,” he said.  It is through these connections that clients feel safe and supported, the ideal environment to address addiction and achieve lifelong sobriety.

The Role of a Psychiatrist A psychiatrist is a physician specializing in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health and emotional disorders. After extensive medical training, psychiatrists are uniquely qualified to distinguish between psychological and physical causes of mental and physical anguish. They also have a thorough understanding of the human body and how emotional illness relates to other medical illnesses. A psychiatrist uses a range of tools to treat clients, including medications and psychotherapies.
